Our Work
The Systems Change Lab conducted this study on behalf of the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) in 2021. The 2024 Market Rate Survey is also now complete and available for download on our project page.
The purpose of this analysis was to examine Census Community Microdata to learn specific child care capacity information as requested by the Mississippi Early Learning Alliance.
The Systems Change Lab is assisting the Mississippi Department of Human Services with the Preschool Development Grant Birth-Five Strategic Plan and developing a Child Care Quality Support System tool-kit for other states, based on best practices achieved through a continuous quality improvement process.
